Helen Chan

Managing Director / Parent Educator

Helen graduated from the Seattle Pacific University with a major in special education and minor in human development & family studies and is certified in early childhood education by Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Canada. She is very passionate in serving and nurturing young children and supporting parents in the community. Helen has more than 7 years of proven experience working with young children and families in different childcare settings in Canada and 8 years as an international kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong. She has 4 years of experience as a parenting consultant for a non-profit community organization in the Seattle, WA, U.S. Additionally, Helen has served in churches as Sunday school teacher, Program Coordinator, guest speakers and Ministry Director.

Ashley Cheung

Parent Educator

Ashley grew up in Hong Kong and came to Seattle for her education. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Having experienced first-hand the acculturation challenges, she understands the difficulties that immigrants face living in a new cultural environment with little social support.

Ashley is a licensed mental health counselor with more than 10 years of experience in community mental health. She has extensive experience working with families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Her work with parents focuses on the parent-child relationship, especially in building kind and confident connection that also helps the child’s future.
